Oraia Ydra: Gastronomic creativity with charm

    With a rustic, tavern environment, without fanfare and pretense, Oraia Hydra focuses on what it does well: it cooks fish from the local fishery to perfection, creates appetizers with products from all over Greece, such as the pumpkin meatballs with cheese from Volos, the velvet fava from Feneos with marinated cherry tomatoes, the smoked eggplant salad with peppers from Florina and tahini or the fried Cypriot halloumi sticks with yogurt sauce. 

    Her tables are spread on the pavement of the waterfront, seducing the visitor with all kinds of goodies coming out of the kitchen, led by chef Kosmas Savriadis. Mussels steamed in their broth, barley with shrimp, mussels, Kozani yolk, quenched with tsikoudia, simmered knuckle with gruyere cream and colorful carrots, marry Greekness with intensity and become the specialties of summer. 

    In Oraia Hydra, daily specialties are a common phenomenon, depending on the goodies found in the market or what will inspire the chef to cook. All with remarkable presentation, value for money and unique aromas. A restaurant that puts its own characteristic touch on the events of the island, that will not leave anyone unsatisfied.
